Covid Healthcare Centre



The Government of India declared nationwide Lockdown from 22nd March 2020 to prevent spread of COVID-19. The limited health infrastructure was foreseen as one of the most important challenge to fight COVID-19 infection challenge. Government took immediate steps to strengthen the healthcare centers considering the overall population. As the number of COVID-19 cases started increasing multifold and it was witnessed that the available infrastructure for health care was not enough. The hospitals started running out of beds.

Mahad Manufacturers Association (MMA) is actively involved in various social activities and supported society to overcome under different situation. It was very hard for people in the vicinity to get timely treatment of Covid due to lack of required infrastructure. In this regards the Government appealed to MMA for setting up facility of COVID Health Care Centre for society and Industry.

MMA decided to set up a facility for COVID Health Care Centre. MMA prepared proposal for setting up COVID Health Care Centre considering required resources and funds. With the positive support of member Industries MMA established one of the largest Covid Care facilities by Industries association in Maharashtra.

MMA started the activity to provide the required facility and set up has been completed within very short period with well-equipped state of the art infrastructure. Expert Doctors and Nursing staff made available to run the COVID Health Care Centre smoothly.

The inauguration of COVID Health care Centre done by Maharashtra Chief Minister on 3rd August 2020 and facility handed over for treatment of COVID patient.

The COVID Health Care center is equipped with following:

  • 84 Beds with Oxygen supply
  • 100 Beds for Isolation
  • Ventilators with cardiac monitor
  • Defibrillators
  • Nebulizers
  • Pathology, microbiology, radiology, chest X-ray and Sugar monitoring.

The COVID Health Care Centre is run by Government authorities with the major support from MMA through CSR fund.
Covid positive infected people from Industries as well as from the Society are treated free of cost at this facility. Covid test facility is also made available at this Centre. More than 600 patients from this facility are cured and counting.
